ACPS Food and Nutrition Services became the first institution in the southeast to sign on to the Good Food Purchasing Program (GFPP) in April 2020. GFPP helps large institutions align their purchasing with five values. Specifically, the Center for Good Food Purchasing works with participating organizations to set and meet goals to direct more food dollars toward the following:
- Local economies
- Health
- Valued workforce
- Animal welfare
- Environmental sustainability
ACPS Food and Nutrition Services reports early success toward the categories of health and local economies. But stay tuned for future progress reports!
