The Catholic Charities Food Pantry provides nutritionally balanced food packages that meet the needs of each family or individual.

How it Works:

The pantry is located at Catholic Charities in Gainesville (1701 NE 9 Street) and is open Monday – Thursday from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. Clients can receive a three-day supply of food once a month. Their pantry helps fill the gap for people struggling to make ends meet. The pantry distributes approximately 11,300 pounds of food each month.

How to Get Involved with theCatholic Charities Food Pantry:

Please donate any non-perishable food items from the following lists to support this effort to feel our community:

  • Canned Fruits and Vegetables: Canned Pears, Canned Fruit cocktail, Canned Peaches, Canned Pineapple, Dried fruits (apricots, apples), Applesauce, Canned Corn, Canned Peas, Canned Green Beans, Canned Carrots, Canned Beets, Canned Mixed Vegetables, Canned Tomatoes, Canned Baked Beans
  • Grains and More: Pasta, Dried Beans, Rice, Cereals, Instant Potatoes, Stuffing
  • Proteins: Canned Tuna, Canned Chicken, Spam, Canned Sausages, Peanut Butter
  • Specialties: Spaghetti Sauce, Canned Soups, Powdered Milk, Boxed Macaroni and Cheese, Canned Pasta (Ravioli), Single Serving Pop-top Meals

The pantry also accepts pet food, personal care, and baby products.
