The Gainesville Giving Garden has developed a small urban farm near downtown Gainesville. Its mission is to grow food for underserved families in our community. As a new nonprofit, the organization is currently looking to grow its Leadership Team.
People interested in joining the team should be available on several weekends out of the month for the upcoming fall, winter, and spring. Responsibilities include organizational development, garden management, volunteer coordination, grant-writing, and donor acquisition. This is a good opportunity to volunteer with a community project, including for folks working full-time jobs.
