As a result of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the WIC Cash Value Benefit (CVB) will increase temporarily. The CVB is a voucher that participants can use to buy fruits and vegetables. These vouchers help improve the dietary quality of WIC participants. Usually, the vouchers are worth $9 per month for children and $11 per month for women. However, between June 1 and September 30, 2021, they will be worth $35 per month for each participant in Florida. For example, a pregnant woman and her two-year-old child will receive a total of $70 per month for fruits and vegetables during this period.

Fruits and vegetables can be fresh, frozen, or canned but cannot have added sugar, syrup, artificial sweeteners, fat, or oil. If you have questions, you can call the Florida Department of Health‘s customer service Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm at 352-225-4343 or 1-800-494-2543.
